Welcome to our website. We hope this will be informative and entertaining.
We are always looking for new members, so please consider becoming an Indoor Member.
All visiting teams are welcome.
History
Jersey Indoor Bowling Association started in 1978 at The Fort Regent Sports Complex. In November 1991 our present stadium was built.
We are the only purpose built indoor bowling stadium on the Island and are a private members club, affiliated to the World Indoor Bowls Council, British Isles Indoor Bowls Council and the British Isles Woman’s Indoor Bowls Council.
Our members enjoy the opportunity to play competitively and socially. Our ages range from ‘tiny tots’ of 4 years to 92 years. We work with remedial and disabilities groups and have a successful school programme.
Bowling was once called ‘the old man’s sport’ but this is now not the case and in 2010 our own member, Malcolm De Sousa was the British Isles Indoor Under 25’s winner.
New Members
New members are always welcome. Membership can be obtained by submitting an application form (available from the Club) or attending one of the periodic Open Days when potential bowlers can try their hand.
Touring sides are always welcome and they should contact the Fixture Secretary in the first instance.
